Hi all, well the algae finally arrived today 4 days later >:(
So now I'm wondering what they sent me, you see I ordered chaeto Linum, but the chaeto they sent is very fine, feels like candy floss, I was under the impression that it was meant to be hard and wiry, can anyone help with the identification?

Hard and wirey is a good description, like a tangled ball of kids fishing line from a my first fishing rod set.

Do you have a pic of what you’ve got?

@Mike  I will take a photo in the morning once I have daylight and post it here.
I'm thinking it might be the other type of chaeto that is palatable.

@Mike, if it is Linum, it arrived dead, but due to the fact it droops like that and is very fine, I'm sure that it is not, but the palatable one.

Suppliers were very quick to reply, and have offered a refund (that's what separates the men from the boys).
So I'm happy now, I did ask that they send the wiry type instead of refund.
It would appear that they do different types of Linum, so it's possible that there was a thinner variety, but he agreed with me that there was something very wrong with the one that I had been sent-probably due to conditions in transit, and really out of their control.

It may have gone limp and deflated into a wet mess but it should perk up in a day or two once in warm moving water again.

I thought I'd update you on the above:
Not only did they come through but recompensed me with a refund and a new lot of algae large size but only charging me for medium. Thanks Manfred.
Now, about that time as I was desperate to get some in my tank so I ordered from this guy on Ebay: leigh_h2008
Now shortly after that, a second box arrived from livealgae (that I hadn't ordered) so I was wondering if this leigh_h2008 chap on ebay was the same as livealgae.
Bit puzzling as I haven't had his order delivered yet.

I had a look on my paypal account, and it doesn't look like he's the same person as livealgae (he has a pic of him and his partner on his profile) I don't think livealgae being a professional outfit would do that.

It was another pack of chaeto large size. It was defo from livealgae as it had their trademark green tissue and the welcome sheet from livealgae uk printed

are you on their mailing list? Sometimes they have giveaways. Happened to me a couple of times I randomly get a prize.

Much like my GSP that I have no idea who sent me still

Well, what a palaver.
Livealgae.co.uk turned out to be excellent as you guys said, however, that Leigh chap on Ebay left me wondering when his chaeto didn't arrive, after some fruity messages from him, he's allegedly refunded me.
I think based on his profile, that he just sells on chaeto that he's farmed from his refugium. I can't prove that of course, but his Ebay profile picture, with his partner does not look like a professional pic: ie. a logo.
So if he were to farm from his refugium, there's a chance nasties are hiding there, whereas the livealgae.co.uk make a point of dipping their algae before shipping.
I know where I get mine from now on.
