Hi I been fiddling about trying to capture how pretty the corals 'pop' under the blues, I only have a iPhone camera and I found a artical about using yellow lenses so I cheated using some aviator glasses infront of my iPhone but it still doesn't capture how intense they pop when looking through the glasses with your eyes I'm not a photographer but was just interested in how People manage to photograph the intensity of the colours etc I'm guessing it requires spending allot on fancy camera though

Which iPhone is it? and which iOS version?

Things have moved on a bit, and you can now get apps that allow you to control all the camera's parameters, including white balance, so you won't need to use those sunglasses. :)

Download Flannl app and have a play with the settings. White balance and saturation will have the biggest affect on colours.

One heads up with flannl, the colour settings are backwards! 10,000k is yellow and 1,700k is blue.  Don't know why they have done it like that but meh!! been like it for the last 3 versions

It's not backwards. It's a transformation. You're not telling it what you want it to look like, you're telling it what your light source is. It's the same with DSLRs. The idea is you measure the colour temperature, or it's known, and  you select that. It'll then look perfect.

It's the same in Lightroom, etc.

I have the SE too.  :glad:

PS. Turn your powerheads off for a minute or so before taking shots, it'll mean you can get away with a lower shutter speed without motion blur in corals, although it does tend to scare fish away.
