Just a general discussion point.

I know over on the "Will your tank ever be finished?" thread almost everyone said no, their tank will never be finished as there's always something they've got planned next.

So, what do you have planned next?

My tank hasn't been up and running that long, so I have a lot planned yet. My immediate plans involve a firefish and increasing the size of my CUC.

Xenia are on the horizon somewhere, but I need to get my phosphates down before that happens.

I'm not too sure, I want some more varieties of Zoas...some nice colourful ones...

I'd also like to upgrade my lighting when I can afford it...

And then eventually I'd like to add a Kole tang fish-wise  ;D

For me, just more corals...

There's not really any fish I'm keen on which I haven't already got...

Equipment wise, I want a 3 pump peristaltic dosing pump to maintain my calcium and alkalinity, as right now I'm dosing 80g of each per week...

I wouldn't mind a really big Bubble Tip Anemone.  :D

I'm getting that Peristaltic dosing controller for my birthday in September. So looking forward to that, I won't have to manually dose, and deal with a decline in levels through the week. :D

Nice!

Just yesterday I was thinking there's some stuff I'd like for my birthday, but my birthday is two weeks before Christmas. D'oh!

Yup. I was actually born early, as I was due just a few days before Christmas, so at least I get a bit of a gap.

It doesn't help that my boyfriend's birthday is two days before Valentine's Day either. Our anniversary is also two weeks before my birthday, so all the presents are condensed down into just a few months of the year. I'm always joking that I'm going to break up with him and get back with him in the summer, so I can have presents in the middle of the year!

This thread has got me thinking about the stuff I want, so I just treated myself to a large floating magnet cleaner to replace the tiny sinking one I have now. :)

Planning to get my table tank all sorted, then a pair of cuttlefish to add to it.

Get the culturing organised and running well.

Then lots of corals for both tanks.

A nem for main tank, porcelain crabs, Pom Pom crabs, a red starfish and maybe a few other little things.

Then when all that's done (corals will probably always be on the list) I'll probably end up setting up a nice predatory FOWLR tank I think.

I'd really love a FOWLR tank with some predatory fish. My mrs REALLY wants a porcupine puffer. She's convinced it's a cuddly cute fish because of it's big daft eyes and smiling face, but I keep explaining that it's a voracious predator and will crunch all my hermits, etc. She's not convinced. :S

I could have a porcupine puffer and a volitans lionfish, etc, but right now, there's just nowhere for one to go...

I'd hope so, volitan, Picasso trigger and an eel probably a snowflake would be where I'd start.

I-Conica tell her to look at the big teeth they've got and ask what she thinks they're for, they're not needed for brine shrimp and mysis etc. that's for sure lol I'm not a big fan of puffers as I've seen loads but never have I seen one that looked happy in a tank, they all look stressed to me and tend to just swim backwards and forwards in the place over bad over.

For me a selection from below;
 Black Volitan
Trigger
Blue ribbon eel or similar
dog face puffer - take your pick which one
tusk fish
maybe a shark - tank size depending
big angels - not too sure about compatability

a fish not too many know about the sarcastic fringehead!!

I know I've shown her videos of Porcupine Puffers eating hermit crabs. They casually suck them up, crunch the shell, spit the shell out and eat the crab...
