Hi guys,

I'm thinking of upgrading my sump to something like this ...

The problem is to remove the old sump ... There are two steel support bars at the front of the cabinet which are in the way ... Could the bars be removed temporarily with a tank full of water? This tank was made by Aquarium4Life ...

I can turn off the water in from the tank but unsure how long could it hold?

Many thanks guys :)

Marty

lol, thats some sump, i get fed up of cleaning 2 socks, only a women should be washing more than 2 socks ;) (roll on the sexism abuse hehehe)

not sure i like the enclosed top, doesn't help with the extra gas exchange much, although i suppose if the tank is opened top there should be enough, It does look neat though, fit my OCD well !!

I think the cover on the filter sock side is necessary to prevent the water splashing :)

@Ian Dashfield might be best to answer the question on removing one or more of the supports with a full tank on top.
