Hi All,

My file fish appears to be dead or sleeping although once touched wakes up but swims erratically then goes to hide and props himself against a rock. I Thought he was dead 3 times over the space of several hours. Is there a problem? Water checked and other fish and coral are fine. Is the behaviour on health issues

TIA

Sorry mate but I have seen fish do this a few times before dying.

Sometimes laboured breathing and lack of movement sometimes is caused by marine ich which is treatable , just thinking of what it could be other than the worst case scenario.
Good luck
