What does eveyone (who doses) use to hold your  calcium, alk, mag. Ive seen some expensive  pre made things  and some cheaper jebao 1.5 litre resevoirs.
I have never dosed before  so have no idea how long  1.5 litres  would last . I realise its dependant on stock levels and strength of solutions.  I dont want to buy a 1.5 litre resevoir and find im having to fill evey other day . Can anyone share their experience with me ! Ta much

I don't dose, but I intend to.  Never enough money to do everything I want to :(

I saw someone was using cereal boxes from ASDA. Cheap as chips

I've no clue about the size of containers used, but I know @i-CONICA doses, so could help you there (when he's recovered from his work party hangover).

I see a lot of people using there smallish containers, so suspect that's enough for most tanks.  If you try it with cereal boxes, you've not invested much, so could always swap them out for bigger ones, or upgrade to something custom built once you know what you want.

Do you keep up levels with water changes?

I have a 6x2x2 and ive learnt how much i need as i do it manualy , different lights or new corals all make a difference as you have noted.

I test once a week and ive learnt that I need 2x tablespoons of Bi-carb a day , plus mag and calcium  are done weekly  to need as it never drops below 420ppm testing weekly  and mag does not fall much in any case . It was having kalk as top up water daily approx 2 litres  but as its in idle mode its not getting much of anything .

That cereal box idea is outstanding !!!!

water changes and using red sea powders keep the levels fairly stable,  but i am aiming for  total stability  with the  dosing pump.  Breakfast tubs it is , great idea btw , used kalk a while back in on old open top i had , did the job but i found ir really bad for pumps , the return pump seized twice

Yeah it realy sluts up the pumps, most kalk reactors have a short life. I used to use empty 2 litre coke bottles filled right to the top so no oxygen gets in , mixed in a jug poured in topped up it settles overnight and you just pour off the clear liquid in the morning  .

Stable is best of course and id never achive that with my methods .

I have seen the branded ones at around £30 mark for a 2 litre ones and I have also heard people are using the plastic cereal boxes for this purpose
