This has been running a fair few weeks now so i think its about time i made a log :)

Filtration:-
6x6 inch coarse sponge - Second section, for mechanical filtration
Few metres of filter foss left over - On top of sponge
1KG of Biohome Maxi Ultimate, 1KG Alfagrog and Plastic pipe cuttings  - Third section for biological filtration

I think its safe to say i have plenty of filtration :)

Hardscape:-
Nice twisty wood
Few rocks left over from previous tanks - Not sure if im going to use or not ( two in at the moment to sink wood )
Fine pale sand - two types mixed. One pink, other yellow.

Plant List :-
Crinum Calamistratum - ( The main non south american part! )
Heteranthera Zosterifolia - Midground
Staurogyne Repens - Foreground
Limnobium Laevigatum - Floating

Fish list:-
12x Colombian Tetra
6x bronze corydoras ( or could be peppered, forgot which ones now )
1x tiny bristlenose plec ( made it down the overflow and into the sump in the first week, now back in tank!! )

Still using the kelo light but with blues turned off completely. Plants seem to be ok so far, time will tell though!

Like it!

Tell you what, the colours on those tetras look a lot like the dwarf rainbows (melanotaenia praecox) i have in my FW tank.  They look stunning as they go in and out of the foliage and their blue fleck catches the light, hopefully the tetras will be the same for you.

Thanks:

There are quite a understated tetra. They get to a good size too at 6cm, and like the rainbows, have a nice blue shine to them.
There not fussy with food either, and are chowing down the marine pellets that are left ( saves buying more for now at least )

I'm not sure what to do with the back of the tank as its not too messy but would be nice to cover up the pipework. Maybe some off white foam board or some frosted white acrylic will do the job nicely.

Yeah similar to that I guess Matt.... Are you adding c02? Not sure when I'm starting mine. Bit short of space at the moment.....

I will be yes, at the moment dosing liquid carbon, but just about ran out! Cory's are being a pain and digging up most of the plants
