Now have a new project in the pipeline, going to do a Juwel Trigon 350L corner planted tank. So far I've got the tank, stand and T5 lighting, though I'm going to try to integrate my TMC Growbeams into the hood somehow. As their performance in the refugium was spot on with the added bonus of getting the shimmer effect.
Hardscape I've gone for a very large piece of twisted bog wood (looks like tree roots) which will be the main focal point. I'm toying with the idea of just having an island with plants around and on the wood or going for depth and having half planted half swimming space. Like the idea of growing moss on the wood and various other species around that with that separated by sand to give It contrast. Luckily not more than 15 mins away is a new planted aquarium shop called Aquarium gardens, already had on look in there. Some of the their display tanks look really nice. They have everything I need from planting substrate to plants which are are all in a separate room. The supply and refill C02 bottles but the regulator ect I need to purchase separately. I want to keep Rainbow fish with a few shoals of smaller fish. I will try and integrate the cp-40 crossflow in there but need to research co2 and gas exchange ect, not sure if that will be possible?
Other equipment I'll be using is a Fluval 406 filter just delivered today by Aquacadabra, 2 Ehiem heaters.
Just in the research phase but have everything in place to go.
