Yes to keep them feeling calm  lol lol lol lol lol  we have scatterfish ,these areHarlequins, white tip and black widow tetras plus some corydorus habrosious ,little buggers spawn all the time, even found a young one in the return chamber today.

Very useful all of these for taking any uneaten food as the tanks planted.
Do not mock the snake because it has no horns. For who is to say that one day it may become a dragon,as one just man may become an army...Water Margin.

Yes I'm seeing the pics in your other thread very nice tank , Maybe something a little larger for him to turn his attention on a sparing partner of sorts ? Angelfish or the like ? Depends on space and discus being the emotional and overly sensitive creatures that they are and striking what would be a very delicate balance .

Well hes got his bitch back where she belongs, she had strayed with him being a bit unwell.

Garry was saying back when he was deeply into trops and that would be sixties and seventies, that the wild Discus as far as he can remember didnt need such high temp , high yes but not as high as today.
Cant comment on that as Oscar was a high as I ever got in those days.

Hes got his head in the sump checking the return pump and trying to get a tiny baby habrocius out the return chamber..

Sounds like you need a rack of spawning tanks and separate the randy couple...
