Looks ideal for a bunch of CDs.  lol

Is that two pieces of glass bonded to a vertical brace bar in the middle? I.e, two tanks stuck together in effect?

Yes, two peices of glass.  The rest of it is made from fibreglass, and a then a background added.  There were loads of issues getting it sealed correctly.  Took months and months of playing around to get all the leaks fixed.
