Hi everyone , Ive recently picked up a 2nd hand vecton 600 UV due to a cracked quartz sleeve and a bit of electrocution from my previous UV unit , The unit as a whole won't fit in my sump cupboard and don't have the space to really mount it else where . I'm thinking of striping out the individual components from the blue case this meaning the UV steriliser will fit in my cupboard and mount the start transformer etc else where  , I've been looking through the instructions for mounting and read this bit

Quote
This unit may be installed either flat on its base or mounted using the key hole slots in the underside of the base. If this unit is mounted then it must only be mounted as shown in the diagram below. It must not be mounted in any other plane.

With the unit lying on its base / back the connections are horizontal , normally a UV is mounted with the connections vertical .
From the quote above does this mean that this unit can be run with the connections horizontally ?

I emailed TMC , who replied to say that it's fine to run with the connections horizontal , as long as the main body is mounted horizontally .
