RODI ball valve seized

Over time, the little shut off ball valves I have on my RODI seem to seize up.  It's the end points in either direction, so they won't quite fully open, or worse, won't quite fully close!

Anyone else get this problem, and if so, how have you solved it?

I have had that a couple of times, I just replaced them. I wouldn’t put wd40 in it, it did crossed my mind to for a second

I bought a cheap bag of about 20 of them on ebay and just chuck them in the bin and change them when they go wrong. 

Must say I can't work out why it happens when they are only opened and closed once a month or so.

I had that. There's a rubber part inside that swells up over time and becomes misshapen. Not really any good way to fix it other than replace it.
