Was thinking of adding a small sponge filter which has a small power head on it ,
Is it possible to over filter a tank ??
I got a small spare internal filter thought it might help a little with the filtration.
What you think ???

If it is a sponge filter then it will only really remove solids in the water. Certainly cant see any harm in it but might not do much overall to improve the water quality - extra water movement might be good though depending on what else you currently have going on

why do you feel like you need more filtration? or is it just gathering dust?

Or I could go hole hog and connect up my eheim external filter , blimey think I got about 3 or 4 external filters , about 5 different size internal filters  think I’ve even got 2 spare tunze wave makers.
Blimey connect all of them up that should be nice and clean then , might blow everything across the tank including rocks and substrate .
Be like a tidal wave .
Lol  lol lol

I’m running a small tunze already , and another wave maker and the power head that comes with the filter ,
I was just wondering about adding not for the flow but to help with keeping the water nice and crystal clear ,
It’s not dirty but when you go to fish shops they have immaculate clear water . Thought it might do same to my tank .

I always find that running filter floss, on top of a filter pad, with optional carbon underneath works great for clarity

Thanks:
