Huge apologies for posting a link to another forum ( :( ) but thought it might warrant it in this instance!

The only thing is say is becareful if your going to keep it in the QT as lots of nasties can potentially hide in it when you get corals or fish then if you move it to your display they could cross over

Agreed and thanks but it is only like me putting the cheato I bought straight into my refugium of my display tank (which I did), I think they grow the products in non livestock scenarios

FYI, Livealgae.co.uk.

I have been lucky enough to see the growing process (not far from my house) they keep the tanks very clean and mostly free from pests, they take this an extra stage by dipping the Macro before shipping. You can specifically request that they do not dip the algae in the hope of some hitch hikers, but you're not looking at anything interesting or damaging, Asterina Stars, Micro Brittle Stars, maybe a peanut worm if you're lucky

That's great info, cheers @Ratvan    Any idea what they dip the macros with?  (not copper i assume?)

I'm pretty sure the digitate hydroids I'm dealing with at the moment came in on chaeto as it's the only thing I added in the last year.

I would guess something like a 10 minute soak in RODI water, maybe a gentle coral dip... Never occurred to me to ask. I also wanted to take some photos of the set up but wasnt allowed  :s

Not impressed with those guys, ordered Sunday night, paypal processed Sunday night so should have been shipped first thing Monday morning, still nothing turned up.
I wouldn't mind, but they make a big thing about shipping quickly to preserve the algae in transit.
Even in my account it says Monday-Wednesday.

Yes indeed, though everyone elses first class mail are arriving on time, in fact some 2nd class mail is arriving next day.
I'm not saying that Live algae are doing this: but I discovered through postmarks, that the only people that have sent goods late, have been using Covid 19 as an excuse to be slack, we're all back to normal now, so no need for things to be delayed like weeks ago

Yes a great many company's are using Covid as a reason to do very little. Tho round here our post is always bad. I have had a couple of parcels go missing ,pills for a dog, over the years. I do hope it turns up in good nick.
