I have the twin ones hixy, bought several years ago,the only reason I do not use them now is I cannot vary the flow,it/they just blow. Boxed up for emergencys.

As far as allpondsolutions go we have a big external cannister from them on the old cory tank. It isnt as powerful as a comparable Ehiem but neither did it cost as much. Been going over 4 years.

Heaters are another matter ive had two and both failed pretty quickly.

Cant fault thier powerheads tho.

I have one of their Reef surge powerheads, it's a rebadged RW4 from Jebao. Works perfectly and you get a UK warranty etc.

I got a jebao return pump from them and it was noisy on a sound range that got on my wick, so asked to send it back, they said now and sent me a new impeller, still the same. Sent me another pump, still the same, all this time I just wanted my money back but they did everything they could not to, after countless emails they refused to give me a full refund and said I would have to pay post for all pumps when I didn't even want it and the right down on both pumps.

So I stopped all coms with them and opened a case with PayPal, they had plenty of chances to do the decent thing but it took a PayPal case to get my money back.

I have heard there customer service ain't great.but for less than 20 quid I'm not complaining.Salt water is harsh on pump especially one that stop and start all the time.if they work for 6 months I'll just buy another.I've had 2 jaboe rw4 pack in and they are not even 6 months old and cost 50 quid .if ehiem made wave makers I'd buy them but they don't haha. If these cheapy ones pack very quickly that's a different matter but they are very quiet and doing what they should for now.

They do all different sizes depending what LPH you want

They also do two types of fitting either plungers or magnetic

We always used to use Ehiem for cannisters, just in this last case the price was a main factor. We have a big wet and dry and we are gonna have to take it up the dump sadly as its way too big for the little tank we put the allpond cannister on.

Also got one of those Hydor flip flop things , had an ongoing constant impellor replacement and two out of four pumps replaced , then the rep just said thats yer lot ,even tho all 4pumps were malfunctioning ,so I would never reccomend them as a company. Cost me also to send back useless pumps.

At this point its when I said fck it just buy cheap and discard ,a guess one could run them on timers 15 mins on 15 off alternateing between 2-4 pumps dependant on tank size.

Then I came to this forum and was told about Jaebao . But still deff not cheap.

Yeh my jaebo rw15 lasted about 17 months cost £65 but a mp40 are round £300 plus and people still have problems  so I would rather buy a jaebo when u can buy 4 cheaper than 1 mp40 . I am now useing a rw20 I picked up for £50 it had only been used for a month since new.  It's very powerful.  But I would like a gyre

I would also like a gyre ,I would also like an Audi T8

Yeah money aside im dithering on the gyre ,main consideration is my cut off corners ,it measures up with very fine tolerance , but then where does the lead exit? Hmmmm...

Big cut off corners

Lead is in the middle.  It's also on a bracket, so that pushes it out from the glass by a cm or so, which will give you a another cm or so to fit it in.  Also, you could always have it at a slight angle.  It's not vital that it is horizontal to work.
