Hi I am looking to add a HOG, (as I currently have no room for a sump), algae turf scrubber. I can only see them for sale from a company in the USA who clearly hold the patent so they are excessively expensive plus import tax is required. Yet they seem so simple to DIY. Does anyone have any experience with these?

Hi Dusty, I've been getting some good info from this website, the chap who runs it probably is the seller in the states, but he's extremely helpful to those that want make their own, such as myself. If you want to know how I'm making it, I'll happily post here.
I've got most of the materials so far, and have done quite a bit of research, so I'm confident I'll be able to make a difference to my tank with the home brew ATS.
