I have x2 wave makers and been looking at adjustable flow wave makers and I thought I wonder if I could make my own with the ones I've got. Has anyone ever tried installing a light dimmer switch on a wave maker???????????

Hmmm, assuming they're AC pumps, gut feel is that it wouldn't work because they're driven at the frequency of the mains (or a fraction thereof).

A DC pump, yes that might work.
