No it's always the same level. If I turn everything off for a water change it rises but the skimmer always gets turned off and the reactor. I just looked at the cup before it was empty the water level was rising like the pump was pushing water, but nothing's happening, just stripped it all down again only did it a few weeks ago. And still nothing. It must have packed in

i dont know mate... to ne honest its been about 10 years since i had a tmc skimmer. to be fair there isnt a lot that can go wrong with them.

As long as the pump is working , there is water getting in and there is air sucking in there isnt much else lol

Sorry i cant be much more help.  Is the prop working as it should (how old is it)?

Is it a venturi fed skimmer? The water flow must be very reduced if it's not producing any... It's that flow that pulls air down.

Get a video uploaded to youtube and post the link if you can. Let's see what's going on?

Cool. I'll look at both of them as well. It happens I suppose but I am quite good at stripping and cleaning them so maybe just that they use a fairly cheap crappy pump. Gotta take it bak LFS and he will get me a new one he goes tmc every Wednesday so should be good by then. And gets a water change on a Sunday anyway so should be ok
