Hi, planning a marine tank with easy water change, the tank is near mains water and waste so i was going to have a R.O filter filling a tank then have another tank i can make a salt mix in (agitator & heater) then pump that directly into the main tank for my water changes. the main tank has an waste overflow higher than the sump return so as new water goes in it raises the level and overflows down waste.
If i put a float valve on the sump tank 'in pipe' it would regulate the level in the sump & allow the main tank to 'overfill' down the waste overflow allowing sump and waterchange to both run at the same time, so once my salt mix tank is upto temp & mixed all i have to do is switch the pump on and let it run till empty
(excuse my crude paint sketch)
thats the idea, have a missed anything or is that sound in principle?
