Hi all. Just a quick question has anyone converted a boyu lz 810 198ltr aquarium to salt water?
Before I start drilling the glass and hacking at it just wanted to see if anyone could has any pointers or ideas to throw at me?
This is my 3rd build so I know the basics

While it's unlikely I'd check the base or back (whatever you plan to drill) isn't tempered.

As if it is, which I'm sure you know, it's a no go on the ole drillio front.  :glad:

as above, check the base for a sticker that should say tempered glass if it is, if its not then A-OK, also you could send all pond solutions an email as they are one of the main sellers of Boyu stuff

Yeah it's much more common for fronts to be tempered.

More impact resistant than float glass, and If it does break, the whole sheet goes and you just get wet, not wet and sliced in two.  :glad:
