Ive often seen this type of behaviour as a preclude to spawning. Dont worry shes not unwell in any way.
Do not mock the snake because it has no horns. For who is to say that one day it may become a dragon,as one just man may become an army...Water Margin.

She is obsessed  with the anemone. The anemone still eats  and doesn't seem to be getting worse .The clown has moved all the sand away from the anemone.

Is she alone? Or have a mate? I remember when I bought a big maroon I also bought a very small one ,she gave this hapless lad a terrible beating before they bonded.

If you are used to Cichlid behaviour? Thier basicaly the same spawning wise.

Yeah they get incredibly rough. Mine had split fins and all sorts , it could have actualy gone  either way . I was lucky and she found him worthy.

As Graeme has suggested that too could very well be what shes doing .
