You can just have it like mine which is fine.

I'm about to change that section to a DSB so will either move the biohome to other chambers or put it ontop of the DSB

Sorry to keep asking so many questions!  Does the cheato root itself amongst the biohome then?  Yours is bare bottomed - so to speak!?

Chaeto is best to tumble so will be fine just plonked in I don't currently have any chaeto in there that crashed when doser dumped everything in thanks again TMC !

When I did have chaeto



As you can see it was just slung in.

No there was no sand in above picture and the chaeto grew like a weed you can also see the biohome under it in picture  :)

As Marty said, just chuck it in, and provide a grow light.

It doesn't have roots. It forms balls when it tumbles, as it grows equally in all directions.
