Hi all, having seen BRS youtube vid of what happens when your DI resin gets exhausted, I've decided to put colour-change DI resin in my second DI chamber (I have two after the RO unit).
Where do people get their resin from, and in particular their colour-changing resin, if indeed they use it?

I like Vyair Ltd, I've had a lot of good info and help from them so I'd be the first to big them up.
However, It is frowned upon to have DI resin in plastic bags, and having looked around I've found that mostly the other quality resellers are using plastic tubs to supply their resin.
I'll email them and find out what they say about it.
What sort of lifespan do you get out of a litre @ajm83 ?

Sorry bud I can't honestly remember what size the chambers are or how long it lasts as I make up 200L at a time and store it in a water butt.  I don't do water changes so that 200L lasts me a pretty long while (only use it for top ups really).

What I will say is that stopping and starting the system seems to absolutely kill the lifespan,  especially if you don't flush the system with it disconnected from the DI.  I can kill a chamber in like 100L or so by doing that.  :O  I do have well 'ard tap water though (350 PPM)

Yes , you're right about that, interestingly, the Vyair RO unit runs for 18 seconds as autoflush before it goes to restriction, so not only does that flush the membrane, but it removes any build up of contaminants that leech through the membrane under turgor pressure when the unit is stopped
