Hi all,
I have setup my compact ro filter & I am struggling to get any output water. I don't know what the pressure is but I have since bought a booster pump & that hasn't really made any difference. It's probably been running about 3 hours in total on & off and there is only about 2 pints of output water. I've tried reinstalling the membrane & nothing seems to work. I've had an ro filter before, years ago & didn't have any problems. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Can you add photos please? That would really help us see how you've set it up.

Do you have an auto shut off on it? Could that be the wrong way around, blocking the flow? Have you got the membrane connected the right way? Flush connected correctly?

I don't think it has an auto shutoff. It's quite a basic filter as I don't have a lot of space under the sink. I've followed the instructions & watched YouTube for fitting membrane & believe it is fitted correctly. I should have mentioned before that I have drilled through the wall under the sink through to my living room where the tank is against that wall. If it's that my compact ro filter just isn't big enough, I would need to connect & remove every time I use if I go for a full size filter.

Are you getting a lot of water out of the waste line at almost mains pressure or is it just a trickle?

If it's a lot, then your flush/bypass valve might be open when it should be closed or the other way round.  Or it could be faulty.

Thanks:

It did sound like quite a lot was going down the drain. I will check the valve when I get home. Thanks
