Red hair algae

How do I get rid of this red hair algae stuff.

Hmm, that's not what you'd normally call red hair algae. Looks more like cyano, or dinos or something.

Can you syphon it out during your water changes or is it actually attached to the rock/sand?

its cyano.  keep up the water changes, syphon as much out as you can and it should eventually burn itself out :) make sure you have good flow :)

I had a problem with cyano a month or 2 ago and was having trouble getting rid of it. I got rid of it eventually using ATM Outbreak along with a couple of water changes. Try to siphon as much of the cyano as you can.
