I sadly lost my goby yesterday - long story but hubby in trouble!!!  Haven't seen my pistol shrimp since that he was paired up with   Will he survive on his own for a few days until I find a new mate for him? :(

As some one who has had a pistol shrimp come in with the rock over 4 years ago.....yes its very possible tho they do say they dont survive long without a partner.

I wish my bugger would croak it , it gets speights of clicking which disturbs
Loki's beauty sleep .

How long do these things live ffs?

A coral, also none as a pineapple coral
I got it as one head and it has taken 6 months for it to show 2 new heads and he pulled it in to the mouth of his tunnel half covered

Oh dear - naughty shrimp!!  My trouble maker in the tank is "Cecil" the tuxedo urchin - takes the odd coral for a walk now and again!

I did once have a couple of purple ones, they were also a pain in the butt. Everything they passed they collected.

In this rock I had a peacock mantis the pistol shrimp and a teddybear crab . However when I ordered it I told the chap those things didnt bother me.... :D  The pistol shrimp has become a problem tho . Its also clouted a cleaner shrimp and killed it.

I didnt belive they could do this untill I saw a lovely little video on utube

I love "arnie" my pistol shrimp and hope he is just hiding. Never caused any trouble apart from a few sand dunes every now and again and was always just happy with crushed shell I gave him. My sand sifter goby "Henry" is another story and dislike him as he's a bully but he does his job well!
