Light colours

Hi,
a few months back i got a new fluval led light for my marine tank. i just ignored what all the different colour percentages. i am getting alot of algae  which makes me wonder what does each colour do? do i need to reduce one to reduce the algae.

Reduce the red plus reduce the hours you have it on to around 9 hours. Also make sure you have good flow! I’m new to marine aquariums and I’ve had the same problems, also make sure your not over feeding your tank

Also test for nitrate and phosphate excess nutrients will be part of algae growth , lighting will also be part of your problem as said lower reds right down .
