Hello,, total.newbie here & being only 3mths in to my 1st marine aquarium can anyone advise if this is some sort of sea anemone hitchhiking on the hermit crab?   If so should i remove it?  Or better biodiversity for the tank?

I don’t know much about them mate, I think they are a filter feeder, I think only concern if you end up with excessive amounts...

Personally I would leave alone, I think it’s a positive!

I’d leave it on looks like a harmless filter feeder

Just a word of advice with hermits ,
Make sure you have a few spare shells for it to move into as it grows , once it moves house if you want to you can remove that shell with the barnacle on it then if you wish to .
