My husband wants to put egg crate on the bottom of the new tank but I am worried as to how it will affect my shrimp / goby pair burrowing??

Mine have been fine with egg crate underneath.

I have my rocks strait onto the glass and mine are stacked about 1.5 ft high and I've had no issues with my goby munching around under them.
