Curious one this one ,
I’ve heard of them popping heads but this looks like the worm has left the building as well ,
Is this right and normal ,

Yeah, it’s usually a sign of stress, something they’re not happy with, as it’s a risky business moving house for them. I’ve never seen one leave its tube still with the feather head on though. Usually that’s ditched before hand.

They’ll find a new location they like then slime up and roll around to pick up substrate to substantiate their new tube. Like mixing gravel into cement to make concrete.

I’d say its future is looking bleak though and I’d bet around £3.20 that its house move won’t be successful and you’ll loose it soon. Fingers crossed though. But like I said I’ve never seen one on the move still with the feather crown on though so maybe it’s different to my experiences.
